2026 Kitchen Design Trends We're Seeing Across Riverside County

Every year we walk through dozens of Riverside County kitchens before a single cabinet comes down, and a few patterns keep showing up in 2026.

Two-tone cabinetry remains the single most requested look. Homeowners want a darker island, usually navy, forest green, or matte black, paired with a lighter perimeter in warm white or soft sage.

Waterfall quartz islands are still the centerpiece most people ask for by name. The seamless, mitered edge reads as custom even on a mid-range budget when the fabrication is done right.

Warm wood accents are creeping back into otherwise modern kitchens, open shelving, a wood hood surround, or wood barstools breaking up an all-white or all-gray palette.

Lighting has also gotten more intentional. Instead of a single ceiling fixture, we're installing layered plans with recessed cans, a statement pendant, and under-cabinet LEDs on separate dimmer circuits.
